We are a social, leisure and learning community for adults with learning disabilities based at The Embassy Centre, Brassey Road, Winton, Bournemouth BH9 1PT.
We currently run Thursday 10.30am to 1pm and Friday 10.30am – 1pm and alternate Saturday evenings 6- 8pm from 11th September.
FREE SESSIONS to members until March 2022 and Saturday Club Restarting
Amazing news! We have been awarded a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund #TNLCommunityFund so we can run club FREE to our members for 6 months October 2021 to March 2022.
The grant will cover staff wages and teas/art stuff etc and we will pay the rent from club reserves.
We are DELIGHTED that we can reach out and support more adults with learning disabilities in our community. We know that many members would like to come along but just cant afford to.
The trustees have decided that given the tough year everyone has had, and how much people need extra support, that we will not charge for our sessions since we restarted in July.
We will be offering one free space per week per member. We would particularly like to hear from old or new members who live in the community with limited support as we know you’ve had an especially tough time and need support to get back out here!
Post covid we will be limiting numbers – if you would like to come along or to nominate someone for a space please get in touch. Members can chose between either a daytime or Saturday evening session. We currently have a limit of 15 members per session but these will increase over the next few months. If spaces are full we will operate a waiting list. To apply for a space please email email@example.com
Saturday Club Restarting
We are delighted to announce that Saturday Club will be restarting from Saturday 11th September. The hours will be 6 – 8pm as usual. The session will be free but we will be offering a light supper for £1 each. These will be booked spaces only so please let us know if you would like to come along.
Please note that although we have staff on site and will deal with any issues, we do not provide personal or one to one support – if you need additional support, please bring someone with you. No charge for carers and carers are welcome to drinks etc without charge.
Any queries please let me know and if there’s anyone you know who might be interested, Id appreciate it if you could pass on the information.
